Job summary

Dawson Civil is seeking an experienced Superintendent of Civil to lead on-site operations in Kamloops, BC. The role reports to the Project Manager and covers safety, quality, utilities, traffic management, and handover to the client. Travel across BC may be required as projects dictate.

The successful candidate will lead pipe foremen and crews, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with MMCD and design specifications while maintaining schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of large multi-discipline field crews.
• Strong construction supervision experience in heavy civil projects.
• Knowledge of MMCD and public-sector highway/civil specs.
• Commitment to safety and WorkSafeBC regulations.
• Ability to read plans and interpret specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide management and direction to pipe foremen and crews.
• Ensure schedules and budgets are met in collaboration with the Project Manager.
• Interpret contract drawings and specifications to guide field teams.
• Maintain project records and daily field documentation.
• Identify and mitigate field risks to keep projects moving safely.
