Senior Carpenter

OVERVIEW:

AE Concrete specializes in delivering standard and custom civil precast solutions: Water, Electrical and Communication Vaults, Chambers, Trenches, Box Culverts, Street Light Bases, and a variety of custom precast solutions via our in-house engineering team. ABOUT THE JOB:

Calling all master craftsmen! Do you have a passion for precision and a knack for turning concrete moulds into a work of art? We’re searching for our next Senior Carpenter. Join us in shaping the future of civil infrastructure – let’s build something extraordinary together!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Constructs custom wood moulds from start to finish
• Constructs moulds with complex angles
• Builds mould parts including wood, foam, and other composite materials
• Develops and maintains production standards
• Maintains accurate record keeping for all Wood Shop processes
• Utilize lumber and material efficiently
• Adequate understanding and knowledge about the concrete pressures
• Participates in the general housekeeping of the department
• Additional duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to safely lift 50lbs
• Confined Space & Fall Protection Certification
• Ability to safely operate required machinery, power tools and other Wood Shop equipment
• Demonstrated ability to fabricate from drawings to finished product
• Demonstrated ability to make structures & moulds from drawings to finished product
• Ability to work independently, without supervision
• Ability to read drawings
• Possess basic math skills required

JOB TYPE: Full-time, Permanent
LOCATION: Agassiz
PAY: $32.59 – $35.91 per hour, plus benefits
