As a Carpenter’s Helper, you will assist skilled carpenters in the construction of residential and multifamily homes as well as commercial buildings. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop carpentry skills and build a career in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the measurement, cutting, and assembling of building components.
  • Help with the layout, positioning, and installation of framing materials (e.g., studs, beams, joists, and trusses).
  • Work alongside carpenters to install doors, windows, and other structural components.
  • Assist in lifting, carrying, and securing heavy materials.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in wood frame construction.
  • Ensure job sites are clean and organized.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
  • Provide general labor support on construction sites as needed.

Qualifications:

  • No prior carpentry experience required, but a willingness to learn and work hard is essential.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions from skilled carpenters.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs or more.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, construction-focused environment.
  • Must have drivers license and reliable transportation.
