Job description

The Senior CAD/Calculator is responsible for the preparation of CAD work involving detailed files, survey interpretation, and a variety of reference data.

Job Responsibilities

• Import and process field data
• Provide calculations to field staff
• Prepare legal survey plans
• Interact with field staff to ensure proper configuration of data/sketches and conformity with local by-laws and Registry Office information
• Liaise with clients regarding plan details
• Maintain accurate records, timesheets, and other files pertaining to the job
• Ability to process data towards the preparation of engineering (topographic) surveys is an asset

Qualifications

• College diploma or University degree in a Survey, Civil, or a CAD program
• 2-5 years of land surveying experience, CAD experience, and/or calculating experience
• Minimum of 3 years working with either AutoCAD or Microstation and Microsoft Office
• A strong understand of integrated survey systems, including scale factors, grid/ground relationships, UTM/MTM and original/CSRS
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Excellent organization and project management skills
• Ability to effectively communicate problems and concerns with parties involved
