Job summary

Riva International, Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our Edmonton-based engineering team and help design, build, and evolve backend systems powering revenue-critical workflows for large, complex organizations.

You’ll own meaningful systems, translate complex problems into scalable, reliable solutions, and work with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teammates to raise quality and performance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building backend systems in C#/.NET.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, OOP, and working with data-heavy systems.
• Experience debugging and operating production systems, not just building new ones.
• A track record of making sound architecture decisions and documenting them for others.

Responsibilities

• Design systems and components (APIs, microservices, data models) with attention to performance, security, and operations.
• Own a significant system or domain spanning multiple Program Increments.
• Turn ambiguous problems into shippable plans and drive delivery.
• Set testing and quality bar for the domain and document architectural decisions.
• Partner with Product Owner, Architect, and adjacent teams.
• Mentor engineers and coach them to contribute ideas.
