Job summary

Broadridge Financial Solutions in Vancouver seeks a senior software developer with 8+ years of C++ experience to join the NYFIX development team. You will develop and maintain FIX Marketplace and related products, tackling high-performance, low-latency financial software across the full lifecycle.

The role is hybrid with occasional after-hours support for production issues and a focus on Linux/Unix environments, multi-threaded programming, and FIX engine integration.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor degree is required in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• At least 8 years experience in C++ on Linux/Unix
• Strong C++ expertise and in-depth experience with multithreaded programming
• Experience programming high performance, high throughput, low latency applications
• Performance troubleshooting and tuning experience
• Linux/Unix proficiency including shell scripting
• Important Technical Skills FIX application development experience
• Hands-on experience with a FIX engine
• Programming order management, order routing, trading, risk management, or similar financial services applications
• Middleware application development experience (TibRV, MQ, 29 West LBM, Solace, etc.)
• STL experience
• Database application development experience (Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, etc.)
• Core Java experience
