You will work as a Senior Engineer in Public Markets Technology, partnering with investment traders, professionals, and operations staff to design and implement solutions that enable trading and post-trade activities. Your responsibilities include hands-on development and maintenance of solutions across various asset classes such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, OTC, and FX.
Through close collaboration with investment professionals and operations, you will witness the direct impact of your software on trade activities and the long-term value it delivers to the Fund, benefiting 20 million contributors and beneficiaries.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with investment trading professionals, operations, and technology teams to design and build solutions for trade activities across asset classes including futures, equities, fixed income, derivatives, OTC, and FX.
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications, which may include server-side enterprise solutions, GUIs, or customized solutions for specific business needs.
- Create solutions aligned with business requirements and long-term architecture and technology strategies, utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud development.
- Maintain and enhance existing applications to support trading functions.
- Conduct unit testing and integration testing on software components.
- Document design and program specifications.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
- Develop scalable IT solutions within predictable timeframes, fostering appropriate IT behaviors.
- Share knowledge through application demos, walkthroughs, and documentation with team members and support staff.
- Provide responsive business support while adhering to quality standards for enterprise-level software development and support.
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:
- University degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
- Strong interest in capital markets and contributing to systems supporting portfolio management.
- Knowledge of software development best practices and patterns.
- Experience with C++ and Python, or eagerness to learn, along with SQL and a passion for staying updated with technology.
- Knowledge of cloud development technologies; experience with AWS is preferred.
- Experience with FIX protocol is a bonus.
- Desire to expand domain knowledge through on-the-job learning and continued education.
