Senior Business Systems Consultant, Core Data

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Systems Consultant to join our IT Investment Applications team. This role involves partnering with IT verticals and business units to enhance automation, improve data management, and support investment strategies through technology solutions. Responsibilities include analyzing organizational needs, designing specifications, facilitating testing, and supporting operations, all while ensuring compliance and supportability of investment applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Lead core data application implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand objectives and priorities.
• Provide guidance on business analysis and technical specifications.
• Partner with investment management, development, infrastructure, and vendors to develop solutions.
• Map processes and document findings related to core data and operations.
• Improve the capabilities of the core data team through system and process enhancements.
• Contribute to business cases, RFPs, and due diligence.
• Manage data access and integration improvements supporting growth strategies.
• Coordinate with architects and IT partners on system dependencies and impacts.
• Lead Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, planning, and retrospectives.
• Oversee testing processes to ensure quality and traceability.
• Investigate issues, recommend changes, and document solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
• Conduct risk analysis and design future-proof solutions.
• Ensure adherence to IMCO’s processes with proper documentation and training.
• Maintain environment stability and improve service levels.
• Understand operational risks and system performance.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years in technology applications in asset management or investment industry, with 8+ years in business systems analysis.
• 2+ years in a leadership role supporting software delivery.
• 5+ years supporting data management in financial or advisory firms.
• Bachelor’s in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with data onboarding across asset classes and instruments.
• Understanding of trading lifecycle, investment workflows, and operational processing.
• Hands-on with data governance, MDM, and aggregation from multiple sources.
• Knowledge of data quality management principles and frameworks.
• Experience in integrating data sources and ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Practical knowledge of investment data flow, visualization, and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with investment policies and strategic data management.
• Ability to manage multiple roles including project management, requirement analysis, and solution design.
• Experience with system and data integration, agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of IT service management processes.
• Experience with vendors and audits.
• Certifications like CFA, FRM, CBAP, PMP, or Lean/Six Sigma are preferred.
• Experience with Eagle Pace, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure is a plus.
