Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst for a contract role supporting a large-scale structured financing and loan financing initiative. The role centers on data migration, reporting, and analytics using Databricks, SQL, and Power BI within a financial services environment.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in business analysis, with banking or financial services experience and a strong ability to translate complex financial metrics into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of Business Analysis experience.
• Banking or financial services experience is a must.
• Strong understanding of structured financing or loan financing.
• Experience building business and operational reports.
• Ability to interpret financial metrics including face value of assets, adjusted borrowing value, advance amounts, assigned values and amounts.
• Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience validating data and identifying discrepancies.

Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join a financial services team supporting a large-scale structured financing and loan financing initiative. This is a contract opportunity focused on data migration, reporting, and analytics, with Databricks, SQL, Power BI at the core of the technology environment.

This is a great opportunity for a Business Analyst who understands both financial services and data. You’ll play a key role in a major initiative migrating program data into Databricks, helping stakeholders turn complex financial data into accurate, actionable reporting. The ideal candidate is comfortable digging into data, challenging discrepancies, translating business requirements, and working closely with technical and business teams.

Candidates must have prior experience working in structured financing or loan financing. You will regularly discuss and interpret financial reporting metrics such as face value of assets, adjusted borrowing value, advanced amounts, assigned values, and assigned amounts.

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 to 10 years of Business Analysis experience
• Banking or financial services experience is a must
• Must have a strong understanding of structured financing or loan financing
• Strong background in analytics, reporting, and data analysis
• Experience building business and operational reports
