Job summary

RAVL in Toronto, Canada seeks a Business Systems Analyst for its Delivery Guild to translate complex business needs into scalable requirements, bridging business and technology with systems-thinking and architectural awareness.

You will collaborate with engineers, QA, product teams, and clients to deliver clear user stories, data mappings, and acceptance criteria in an Agile or hybrid delivery environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as BA or BSA in technology delivery environments.
  • Strong technical foundation; experience with engineering teams valued.
  • Translate complex processes into clear technical requirements.
  • Hands-on with Agile or hybrid delivery models.
  • Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and docs.
  • Familiar with APIs, integrations, and data flows.
  • Proficient with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps.
  • Analytical thinker with attention to detail and problem solving.
  • Consulting mindset: clear communication, stakeholder management, outcomes.
  • Comfort working directly with clients in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with client stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document requirements.
  • Translate objectives into functional and non-functional specs with technical depth.
  • Bridge business and engineering—ensure shared understanding of constraints.
  • Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews.
  • Create user stories, process flows, data mappings, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, and product teams on delivery.
  • Refine backlog and manage scope with awareness of technical implications.
  • Identify risks and integration challenges early, communicating mitigation plans.
  • Support testing efforts including UAT, validation, and walkthroughs.
  • Improve analysis practices and documentation quality within the team.

Business Systems Analyst – Delivery Guild

You’ll play a critical role at the intersection of business and technology. This role is more technical in nature, working closely with engineering teams and directly with clients to translate complex business needs into requirements which lead to scalable system solutions. You’ll bring a systems‑thinking mindset, leveraging your technical background to ensure requirements are not only clear—but feasible, efficient, and aligned to architecture.

What does success look like in this role?
  • Partner directly with client stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements
  • Translate business objectives into detailed functional and non‑functional specifications with technical depth
  • Act as a bridge between business and engineering—ensuring shared understanding of requirements, constraints, and trade‑offs
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, technical workshops, and stakeholder interviews to uncover system needs and dependencies
  • Create high‑quality artifacts including user stories, process flows, data mappings, and acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate closely with developers, architects, QA, and product teams to support solution design and delivery

Compensation & Hiring Process

We are recruiting for a current opportunity. The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $125,000. Total compensation may also include additional pay such as bonuses or incentives, depending on the position, and final offers are based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
