Job description

We are currently seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support a high-impact digital health initiative aimed at expanding access to clinical and medication data across a provincial healthcare system. This role involves enhancing the Drug Information System (DIS) to include additional medication and immunization data from community pharmacies, supporting services such as the Electronic Health Record (EHR), Prescription Monitoring Program, and citizen-facing platforms. The successful candidate will bring over 10 years of experience in business systems analysis within IM/IT environments, including at least five years working with HL7 messaging standards (V2, V3, and FHIR). Responsibilities include leading stakeholder engagement sessions, documenting workflows and information flows, preparing implementation guides, and translating both clinical and technical requirements into clear business documentation. This is a full-time, one-year engagement with a hybrid work model based in Fredericton, NB, and opportunities for extension. Candidates must be located within Canada and available to travel for in-person meetings as required.

Responsibilities
•Leading stakeholder engagement sessions to gather clinical and technical requirements
•Documenting workflows, information flows, and activity diagrams
•Creating business requirements, functional designs, use cases, and user stories
•Developing vendor implementation guides and interoperability specifications
•Collaborating with subject matter experts across clinical and non-clinical areas
•Supporting both project and operational digital health initiatives as needed


Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
•Minimum 10 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in IM/IT environments
•At least 5 years of recent experience with HL7 messaging standards (V2, V3, FHIR)
•Proven experience documenting business processes, use cases, and technical requirements
•Experience facilitating sessions with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
•Familiarity with data privacy and security standards, including PHIPA
•Must be based in Canada and able to travel for in-person meetings as required
