TRIO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Project Advisor to join our Information Services team. Reporting to a Manager within the team, this position will be home-based in Canada.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for two primary workstreams: clinical trial portfolio planning and staff forecasting; as well as business case development and benefit realization for strategic and supporting projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to drive business outcomes in a clinical research setting.
Responsibilities
- Clinical Trial Portfolio Planning and Staff Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate forecasts for clinical trial planning and staffing needs to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation. Produce regular executive dashboards.
- Opportunity Identification: Lead, coordinate, and partner with the business to identify new or improved processes, organizations, and systems, including measurement systems, dashboards, management systems, and tools.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project delivery and business outcomes in the clinical research industry.
- Business Case Development: Create comprehensive business cases outlining the financial, operational, and strategic benefits of proposed projects. Develop measurement frameworks for tracking progress and support implementation as an expert for departments.
- Benefit Realization: Monitor and measure project benefits to ensure they deliver the expected value and contribute to organizational goals.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct benchmark analyses, and provide recommendations.
- Risk Management: Work with subject matter experts to identify, track, and mitigate project risks, ensuring optimal implementation.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- Background in clinical research or healthcare is a strong asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, business analysis, or a similar role within the clinical research industry.
- Proven experience in developing successful business cases and achieving desired outcomes.
- PMP or similar certification required.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with resource forecasting for a weighted pipeline of potential projects.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Pay Range: $110,000.00 to $125,000.00, influenced by education, experience, location, and other factors.
