Job description

This role focuses on driving efficiency through business process improvement initiatives and implementing automation solutions across P&T operations. You'll join a dynamic team dedicated to achieving cost-saving targets, improving project timelines, and exceeding customer and stakeholder expectations through innovative automation strategies.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute assigned projects within the BPI program with an emphasis on automation objectives
  • Initiate and lead projects to streamline processes, optimize resource utilization, and manage increased business volumes through automation solutions
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques in conjunction with automation technologies to deliver successful BPI projects
  • Utilize tools and methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, JIT delivery, capacity studies, time and motion analysis, AutoCAD, MS Excel project management software, and process design with automation concepts
  • Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to design and implement automated systems that enhance process efficiency and reduce manual tasks
  • Develop and refine plant and process layouts, integrang automation solutions to maximize space, equipment, and labor efficiency
  • Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, including IT, Engineering, and Operations, to identify and prioritize automation-driven BPI opportunities
  • Lead and support the delivery of site-based and strategic automation projects to meet business objectives
  • Conduct phase-gate reviews to ensure conformance with BPI standards and track the financial benefits of automation-driven projects
  • Monitor and measure the impact of automation projects using project tracking tools and develop relevant reports to highlight outcomes and progress.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation, supply chain, or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions and BPI initiatives
  • Experience in ports & terminals and / or 3PL preferred
  • Proven expertise in process improvement, root cause analysis, and Lean methodologies
  • Experience in deploying and managing automation systems in operational environments
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with a history of delivering cost-saving results
