Job summary

AltaGas in Calgary seeks a Senior Analyst, Business Development to join a small, energetic team focused on midstream growth and LPG export opportunities. You will contribute analytically, build presentation materials, and help drive opportunities from prospecting to sanctioning through the AltaGas process.

The role requires a university degree and 2–7 years of relevant energy industry experience, with strong Excel and geoSCOUT skills. This is a hands-on position in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 2-7 years of relevant experience in Western Canadian upstream, midstream or energy marketing.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• GeoSCOUT mapping and well production analysis tools experience.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, prioritization and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; superior communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to identify and develop midstream growth opportunities.
• Build knowledge of AltaGas midstream assets and prepare presentations for communications.
• Establish processes to streamline reporting and deliverables for efficiency.
• Conduct industry research on trends, regulations and opportunities for projects.
• Monitor government funding opportunities and incorporate into project models.
• Support opportunity advancement from screening to project implementation with internal stakeholders.
