Job summary

Mindlance is seeking a Senior Business Analyst - Digital to lead requirements on medium to large projects in Toronto onsite. You will own planning, elicitation, analysis, and documentation across business areas and technology, collaborating with Product, Strategy and UI/UX teams.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, agile delivery, and mentoring junior BAs, with responsibilities spanning reviews, testing support, and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of BA/BSA experience in an Agile environment with independent requirements delivery.
• Proven ability to gather and document business and system requirements.
• Expertise in scope modeling, business process modeling, data requirements and non-functional requirements.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and collaboration with stakeholders and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation for medium to large projects.
• Guide and coach junior BAs while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
• Facilitate sessions with diverse stakeholders and coordinate with Product, Strategy and UI/UX teams.
• Develop reusable requirements documentation and review materials for sign-off.
• Provide ongoing support to developers and QA, and manage risks and dependencies.

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst - Digital

Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite)

Duration: 12 + Months

Daily Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for business analysis activities on medium to large size projects. The role demonstrates advanced knowledge and ability, applying the competency in new or complex situations and guides other professionals. The role is responsible for execution of all aspects of requirements delivery- planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation, management, and support - for changes to Business Areas and Technology.

• Perform requirements stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups and stakeholder requirements responsibilities.
• Develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, continuously improving the level of detail and accuracy of estimates.
• Lead various Agile ceremonies, alongside the Product Owner
• Manage risks, assumptions, and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties.
• Lead & facilitate collaborative sessions with large and diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review.
• Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives, following the enterprise standards in Confluence.
• Prepare requirements for review applying various communication techniques and lead requirements walkthrough.
• Work collaboratively with Product, Strategy and the UI/UX Design team, to design and build application UI pages.
• Provide ongoing requirements/build/testing support to the developers and QA team.
• Apply advanced coverage analysis techniques to ensure relationship between scope, detailed requirements, and testing through to implementation.
• Provide consulting services to business partners on new initiatives.
• Continually enhance skills and build knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business, and information technology
• Provide guidance and support to build the capabilities of the junior BAs.

Must have skills:

• Minimum 8-10 years professional BA/BSA experience in a project-based Agile environment. Expert at requirements gathering, documentation, testing and developing high level plans.
• Proven experience in Agile methodology
• Proven ability to gather Business and Systems requirements independently, having strong business analysis and systems analysis skills.
• Proven experience in Requirements analysis and quality documentation: Scope Modelling, Business Process Modelling, Data Requirements, Business Rules Analysis, Non-Functional Requirements, User Stories, Story Decomposition, and Story Mapping, Acceptance and Evaluation Criteria Definition
• Excellent communication skills required; will be working with BU stakeholders and IT stakeholders; Experience facilitating a large roomful of stakeholders (15–20 or more).
• Excellent collaboration skills, attention to detail, gap analysis, and ability to work on multiple projects at the same time. Experience working on medium to large projects - over $2 million.
• Deep Knowledge of requirements documentation and modeling tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA/Confluence, Mural, Figma)
• Solid understanding of system integration concepts and APIs
• Comfortable analyzing payloads (JSON/XML) and mapping data elements to requirements
