Senior Business Analyst, Business Initiatives

The role of the Senior Business Analyst, Business Initiatives, is to support analytics and reporting needs for the Insurance Distribution team. The role involves maintaining business reporting by collaborating with the Sales team and internal partners on a daily basis.

What will you do?

• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability by monitoring and resolving production data and platform issues, investigating and reconciling reporting issues, and minimizing disruptions to sales teams.
• Manage the annual sales target setting process with internal stakeholders.
• Update and maintain regional and advisor alignment regularly.
• Develop and maintain relationships to facilitate issue resolution and enhance reporting and analytics.
• Lead end-to-end project management and change management activities, including planning, scheduling, governance, execution, and post-implementation communication and monitoring.
• Ensure change management and communication principles are integrated throughout delivery, including stakeholder impact assessment, end-user training, and communications.
• Lead training sessions with business users on new analytics, reporting, and technologies.
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, managing discussions and group focus to develop business requirements and planning for enhancements.
• Evaluate business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop solutions.
• Handle adhoc reporting requests, analyze data, and present findings to leadership.

Nice to have:

• Degree in Business, Finance, Math/Statistics, Computer Science, or related discipline, or 5+ years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Tableau, SQL, Python, or R is a plus.

The salary range is from $78,000 to $128,000 annually, based on location and experience. Sun Life offers incentive plans based on performance, with additional benefits for sales roles.
