Job summary

Fountain Tire is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Business Applications team at our South Edmonton Corporate Head Office. You will lead analysis for D365, Tire365, and SaaS integrations, guiding stakeholders and technology partners to deliver measurable business value.

The role emphasizes governance, data capability, and adoption, with a focus on improving processes and system reliability across enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business, IT, BA or related field.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional or equivalent.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in business analysis, enterprise applications, ERP implementation, or business transformation.
• Advanced knowledge of SaaS applications, Microsoft D365, Tire365, and integrated enterprise systems.
• Ability to analyze complex data, define reporting requirements, establish KPIs, and connect insights to business decisions, adoption tracking, and benefit measurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead application-level support analysis for D365, Tire365, and integrated SaaS applications, including incident triage, root cause analysis, business impact assessment, and resolution coordination with vendors and internal teams.
• Strengthen system reliability by overseeing defect analysis, validating fixes, ensuring production readiness, and identifying recurring trends for improvements.
• Prioritize operational issues and enhancements based on business impact, urgency, risk, and alignment with priorities.
• Analyze business workflows, operational data, performance trends, and enterprise capabilities to identify improvement opportunities using BABOK-aligned practices.
• Lead current-state and future-state analysis to define needs, gaps, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for strategic improvement.
• Develop and validate business case inputs, including problem/opportunity definition, options, benefits, costs, risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
• Lead elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation of business, functional, reporting, data, non-functional, and transition requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Define BA plans for complex initiatives, including scope, stakeholders, deliverables, timelines, dependencies, risks, and governance.
• Maintain and improve domain-level documentation of processes, integrations, workflows, decisions, and system behaviors for knowledge transfer and auditability.

Overview

Fountain Tire is seeking a dedicated Senior Business Analyst to be a key player in our Business Applications team based in our South Edmonton Corporate Head Office.

The purpose of this role is to lead functional analysis and business application stewardship for complex enterprise initiatives across Fountain Tire’s application portfolio, including Microsoft D365, Tire365, and integrated SaaS applications. The Senior Business Analyst owns assigned business and application domains, guides business analysis planning and execution, shapes solution direction with stakeholders and technology partners, and ensures changes deliver measurable business value, operational readiness, and sustainable adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead application-level support analysis for D365, Tire365, and integrated SaaS applications, including complex incident triage, root cause analysis, business impact assessment, and resolution coordination with vendors and internal technology teams.
• Strengthen system reliability by overseeing defect analysis, validating fixes, confirming production readiness, and identifying recurring trends that require process, data, or system improvement.
• Prioritize operational issues and enhancement opportunities based on business impact, urgency, risk, customer or store impact, and alignment to business application priorities.
• Lead analysis of business workflows, operational data, performance trends, and enterprise application capabilities to identify improvement opportunities using structured business analysis practices aligned to BABOK.
• Lead current-state and future-state analysis to define business needs, capability gaps, process impacts, risks, dependencies, and opportunities for strategic improvement.
• Develop and validate business case inputs, including problem or opportunity definition, options analysis, expected benefits, costs, risks, assumptions, dependencies, and recommended approach.
• Lead elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation of business, functional, reporting, data, non-functional, and transition requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with business outcomes.
• Define business analysis plans for complex initiatives, including analysis scope, stakeholder engagement approach, deliverables, timelines, dependencies, risks, communication needs, and governance touchpoints.
• Maintain and improve domain-level documentation of processes, integrations, workflows, decisions, and system behaviors to support knowledge transfer, operational continuity, and auditability.

What does it take to get on track?

• Diploma or degree in Business, Information Technology, Business Analysis, or a related field.
• Business analysis certification; Certified Business Analysis Professional, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in business analysis, enterprise applications, ERP implementation, or business transformation.
• Advanced knowledge of SaaS applications, Microsoft D365, Tire365, and integrated enterprise systems.
• Ability to analyze complex data, define reporting requirements, establish KPIs, and connect insights to business decisions, adoption tracking, and benefit measurement.
• Awareness of emerging capabilities such as AI-enabled services, automation, and advanced analytics, with the ability to assess business use cases, data needs, risks, and value potential.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills across business, technology, and vendor groups.
• Strong ability to conduct strategy analysis, including business case support, current-state and future-state assessment, gap analysis, value definition, and benefit measurement.
