Job summary

Fountain Tire in Edmonton is seeking a Data and AI Enablement Analyst to accelerate value from analytics by improving data discoverability, usability, and reliability. You will work with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing and Corporate Sales to identify opportunities and guide users to data assets and AI tools.

Fountain Tire is seeking a dedicated Data and AI Enablement Analyst to be a key player in our dynamic data analytics team based in our South Edmonton Corporate Head Office.

This vital role is responsible for expediting the delivery of value-driven insights by enhancing data discoverability, usability, and reliability. This role liaises with all areas for Fountain Tire's business to facilitate the use and creation of analytics and emerging AI solutions that reduce costs, increase productivity, and monetize information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively collaborate with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Corporate Sales, and other business functions to identify opportunities and requirements for new data and AI solutions.
• Evaluate and prioritize business opportunities by identifying initiatives that will deliver the greatest operational and strategic impact.
• Act as a Data & Analytics (D&A) enabler by supporting associates with their data and reporting needs and guiding them to existing data assets, tools, and resources.
• Analyze D&A ServiceNow requests and support tickets to identify recurring issues, process improvement opportunities, and gaps in analytics content and capabilities.
• Curate and manage D&A and Information Systems knowledge articles to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of AI-powered virtual agents and self-service support tools.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data, analytics, and AI assets to improve discoverability, adoption, and user understanding.
• Monitor business-critical data pipelines, datasets, and data quality for key master data domains, including customers, vendors, products, and pricing, and coordinate issue resolution with Data Owners and D&A teams.
• Enrich master data assets through the maintenance of business metadata, data dictionaries, definitions, classifications, and tagging standards.
• Support the curation and governance of data used in Generative AI applications, including Copilot Agents, RAG systems, and Knowledge Assistants.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate AI-related risks by recommending improvements that reduce hallucinations, bias, misinformation, and other potential business impacts.
• Ensure sensitive and confidential information is appropriately classified and protected within data and AI environments.
• Perform functional, data quality, and user acceptance testing of data, analytics, and AI solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and alignment with business requirements prior to release.

What does it take to get on track?

• Undergraduate degree or diploma in Data/Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in reporting, BI, business analysis, or data management
• Familiarity with Microsoft data and analytics resources (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric) is an asset
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms is an asset
• Demonstrated initiative in recognizing efficiencies and implementing process improvements
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills required to resolve issues and evaluate possible solutions
