Job summary

Pinchin Canada is seeking an Engineer / Senior Engineer, Building Envelope, to join our Building Science and Resiliency team in British Columbia. The role supports assessment, design, rehabilitation, and restoration projects across BC, reporting to the Operations Manager.

You will lead building envelope work, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to client interactions and project delivery while mentoring junior staff and ensuring QA/QC standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil, Structural, Building Envelope, or related Engineering discipline.
• Professional designation such as P.Eng is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct building envelope assessments and investigations for existing buildings, including roofing, walls, windows, balconies, waterproofing, and structures.
• Perform condition assessments, leak investigations, invasive testing, and rehabilitation reviews.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, drawings, and rehabilitation recommendations.
• Assist with design and delivery of restoration and renewal projects.
• Carry out construction reviews and contract administration to ensure quality and design intent.
• Support project management: budgeting, scheduling, scope, and client/contractor coordination.
• Participate in proposals, client meetings, and business development activities.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
