Job summary

Egis Canada in Edmonton, AB, is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead the detailed design and delivery of bridge projects from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of bridge experience, a P.Eng/PE license, and proficiency with Midas and CSiBridge. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, review calculations, and ensure compliance with CSA S6, AREMA, and AASHTO codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng. or PE).
• Minimum 10 years of bridge design and/or project management experience on Alberta Transportation & TEC and municipal projects.
• Experience with TEC bridge inventory including standard bridges and major structures.
• Proven capable of leading detailed design and contract prep independently.
• Strong knowledge of Alberta bridge standards, CSA S6, AASHTO, AREMA.
• Experience providing construction liaison and contract administration.
• Ability to review technical design reports and coordinate disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed structural design and bridge rehabilitation assignments for transportation projects.
• Prepare and review structural analysis calculations and design documentation.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and work programs.
• Produce and review technical reports, specifications, quantities, and tenders.
• Conduct design review for new construction and rehabilitation projects.
• Provide field investigation, inspection, and rehabilitation services.
• Quality control reviews of deliverables by junior engineers.
• Coordinate with highway, foundation, environmental, drainage, and electrical teams.
• Maintain client relationships through stakeholder coordination and project delivery.
• Manage project teams, schedules, budgets, and risk.
