Job summary

EXP Services Inc. is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer in Fredericton to lead design, planning, and rehabilitation of roadway structures, including bridges and culverts.

The role sits in the Transportation Engineering department and requires strong collaboration with drafting teams and inspectors. You will perform structural analyses per Canadian codes, use STAAD and Altair Suite tools, and contribute to life-cycle assessments and construction specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4–8 years of bridge design and evaluation experience.
• P.Eng. registration in a Canadian province, with intent to register in NB (Mandatory).
• Experience with OSIM bridge inspections or similar standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and MS Office.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in bridge and roadway structure condition assessments.
• Plan and develop schematic/geometric layouts for new structures.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations in compliance with Canadian design codes.
• Utilize software tools such as STAAD, Altair Suite, and StructurePoint Suite for design.
• Prepare construction drawings and details with drafting teams.
• Conduct material quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and life-cycle analyses.
• Assist in preparing construction specifications and design briefs.
• Support construction administration including shop drawings and RFIs.
