Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Canada is seeking a Principal Project Engineer / Technical Lead to provide hands-on leadership in bridge and civil structures delivery across Canada and North America.

You will lead technical execution, review drawings and reports, mentor engineers, and support pursuit activities while fostering a culture of technical rigor and collaboration within the team. This hybrid in-office role emphasizes safety, quality, and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering required.
• 20+ years of relevant industry experience required.
• P.Eng. status with EGBC (or readily attainable).
• Experience providing technical leadership during project delivery.
• Experience supporting successful pursuits and client discussions.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of bridge and civil structures projects from concept to construction.
• Act as senior technical authority on structural systems and design methodologies.
• Review drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports for accuracy and coordination.
• Contribute to QA/QC processes and design validation activities.
• Coach junior and intermediate engineers and foster knowledge sharing.
