The Finance Unit of The United Church of Canada is seeking an individual to fill the role of Senior Bookkeeper on a permanent full-time basis (35 hours / week).
The Finance Unit ensures efficient and effective financial accounting, reporting, and management functions for the General Council Office and the Pension Plan of The United Church of Canada, including revenue, expenditures, assets, liabilities, financial reserves, budgeting, financial reporting, investments, and risk management. The unit also manages the information technology needs of the General Council and Regional Council offices.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing bookkeeping tasks, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in bookkeeping software, and knowledgeable about non-profit financial practices.

Working Conditions:
This position offers a hybrid work model, combining remote work with in-office presence at 3250 Bloor Street West, Toronto. The incumbent will have access to secure devices and must be reachable during standard office hours. The role involves long periods of computer work, occasional physical activity, and may require additional hours.
Compensation:
The target salary range is $54,657 to $62,293, with potential to reach $72,875 based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include pension plans, group insurance, and paid vacation.
