Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in Laval, QC is seeking a Method Development Research Scientist (Large Molecule) in their Bioanalysis team. You will act as Study Director overseeing analytical studies under GLP and FDA guidelines, using LC-MS/MS, HPLC-UV or similar methods, ensuring compliant data generation.

Responsibilities include designing experiments, data interpretation, presenting results to clients and stakeholders, training staff, and advancing analytical platform performance.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field with 2–3 years’ experience in a scientific position.
• PhD degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop workflows and assays for analysis of proteins, peptides, and their post-translational modifications across various biological matrices.
• Design and execute laboratory experiments, including sample preparation, mass spectrometry analysis, and data interpretation.
• Present complex datasets to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Train Associate Scientists and Analysts on sample preparation procedures and analytical techniques.
• Prepare, review, and maintain analytical procedures.
• Provide scientific recommendations to improve platform performance and data quality.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and reagents to enhance capabilities.
