Job summary

Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited is seeking a Senior Analyst who will transform data into actionable business insights across marketing, loyalty, merchandising, and promotions. You will design, develop, and deliver scalable analytics and reporting solutions supporting data-driven decisions.

You will leverage SQL, Python/PySpark, and cloud-based platforms like Azure Synapse and Databricks to create robust data models, dashboards, and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics or Business Analytics.
• 3+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, marketing analytics or related field.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming, and validating large datasets.
• Hands-on experience building Power BI solutions including data modeling, DAX, report design, and visualization.
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, star schemas, and semantic model development for Power BI.
• Experience developing automated data pipelines using Python, PySpark, SQL, or similar.
• Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or similar platforms is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data and visualization solutions.
• Identify, source, and integrate data from multiple enterprise systems for BI initiatives.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated data pipelines and curated datasets.
• Leverage Azure Synapse, Databricks, Power BI to build reporting solutions.
• Develop data models and semantic models for self-service analytics.
• Apply dimensional modeling and governance for enterprise reporting needs.
• Build interactive Power BI dashboards, scorecards, and visuals for leadership.
• Develop advanced DAX calculations, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Analyze campaign, customer, loyalty, and promotional performance to identify trends.
• Ensure data quality and governance through validation processes.
• Communicate complex findings with clear visualizations and storytelling.
• Continuously improve reporting frameworks and data assets through automation and optimization.
