If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are currently looking for a Senior BI Developer, who will design and develop interactive dashboards that provide actionable business insights. The incumbent will work closely with the data team and stakeholders to understand business requirements, transforming complex data into easy-to-understand visuals that empower decision-makers across the company. You will also be the lead BI developer helping to drive consistency in utilizing industry best practices and acting as a mentor for the data team and stakeholders. T his is a fullyonsite opportunity based out of our Mississauga, ON office location and reports to our Analytics, Manager.

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;

• Leading BI solution development for the Analytics team and ensure data accuracy, integrity and security in all BI solutions
• Developing and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards and semantic models for key business areas using Power BI
• Performing detailed analysis on tested and deployed Power BI report and scripts and utilize them
• Continuously optimizing Power BI solutions to enhance performance and usability
• Collaborating with various teams to ensure data is integrated seamlessly from multiple sources
• Leading and participating in System Integration Testing with architects and developers, while also supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by resolving defects promptly during the process
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and innovations to deliver cutting-edge solutions
• Conducting user training to maximize adoption and empower teams to use self-serve analytics
• Logging defects/issues in Azure DevOps and follow up with the development team
• Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and transform data into engaging, user-friendly reports
• Collaborating closely with the other members of the Business Intelligence and Analytics team and provide training and mentorship to junior BI developers on the team.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports, with strong visual design and data storytelling skills
• Deep understanding of data visualization best practices, influenced by leaders like Stephen Few and Edward Tufte, to create clear and actionable insights
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Proficiency in DAX, SQL, data modeling, row-level security (RLS), and object-level security (OLS)
• Strong analytical skills, able to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Bilingual proficiency in spoken and written French is an asset
• Experience in data transformation, integration (cloud-based solutions), and the Microsoft Fabric stack (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Data Factory Azure Synapse, Synapse Data Warehouse) a plus
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and applied experience with data-related projects
• Consulting or manufacturing industry experience is a plus, providing insights into operational challenges and customer-centric solutions
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with both business and technical teams
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A team player, leader, and initiator, with the ability to manage complex tasks and priorities
• Bilingual proficiency in spoken and written French is an asset
• Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or Computer Science
