We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team, focused on delivering innovative improvements for our engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive large, complex projects from technical design to launch independently.
• Tackle architecture challenges, apply standards, and implement them in new projects.
• Lead code reviews, documentation, and resolve complex bugs, especially high-risk issues.
• Set an example through thorough, meaningful code reviews.
• Collaborate across teams on company-wide initiatives.
• Transfer your expertise from your current language to excel as a Java developer.
• Mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and developing backend applications.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science. Senior-level experience with languages like Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Scala is required.
• Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS with hands-on experience with cloud providers like AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Fluency in at least one database technology (e.g., Oracle, Postgres, DynamoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience creating scalable, performant microservices or distributed systems.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies (e.g., XP, Scrum).
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs in correctness, robustness, performance, space, and time.
• Experience mentoring engineers and influencing decision-making.
• Customer-focused approach in technical decisions.
