Job summary

The Dufresne Group is seeking an Intermediate Backend Software Developer for a 6-month contract at our Home Office in Winnipeg. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services using .NET, APIs, and a Shopify app, collaborating with front-end teams in a hybrid work model.

We value 5+ years in ASP.NET/.NET, strong C#, and database design skills. Experience with Shopify API, Azure/AWS, Agile workflows, and Git is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science, programming, software development or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ASP.NET, .NET Core, MVC and entity framework, C# for back-end development is an asset.
• Strong proficiency with C# and .NET framework, with experience in ASP.NET, Web API, and Entity Framework.
• Familiarity with database design, optimization, and querying using SQL Server or similar databases.
• Understanding of the Shopify API, or the ability to learn the Shopify API quickly is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS is an asset.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
