Job summary

Coveo is seeking a Senior II Backend Developer to work in R&D's Backend Foundation, shaping the core of the Coveo Platform. You will build foundational tools and standards, enabling scalable software delivery across multiple teams.

You will own reference libraries, operate key backend services, and collaborate with cloud infrastructure teams to enhance platform reliability, performance, and developer experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and operating backend in cloud environments.
• Experience designing reusable software, libraries, or tooling for large-scale systems.
• Ability to navigate complex technical challenges, assess trade-offs and risks, and drive long-term solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve reference libraries, tools, and development patterns used across R&D.
• Develop and operate a critical internet-facing API gateway service.
• Mentor teams and guide engineering practices across the organization.
