Job summary

A dynamic tech company in Calgary is on the lookout for a Back-End Engineer. In this role, you'll develop core back-end systems with Python and PostgreSQL, work in tandem with front-end engineers, and contribute to critical product features. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in back-end systems, a passion for collaboration, and a drive for innovation in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating back-end systems in production at scale.
• Expert in Python or similar OOP language, strong proficiency in PostgreSQL.
• Proven track record in API design and hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AI/ML.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve core back-end systems using Python and PostgreSQL.
• Own APIs that power key product flows, and shape how they evolve.
• Participate in architecture discussions and raise the bar for system design.
