Senior Backend Engineer will design and own backend components, drive architectural improvements, and collaborate across squads to ensure high-performance, resilient production services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience in Go or a similar language.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-based communication.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Solid understanding of observability, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues, analyze system behavior, and drive resolution.

Responsibilities

About You

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who is detail-oriented, proactive, and highly collaborative to join our Engineering team. The best candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and exceptionally dynamic setting and is excited to design and build scalable backend systems, drive architectural improvements, and deliver resilient, high-performance services in production environments.

Strong technical expertise in Go, distributed systems, and microservices architecture is essential, along with experience in building and operating cloud-native applications in containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes. The ability to troubleshoot complex production issues, optimize system performance, and manage event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar streaming platforms will be key to your success in this role.

• Hands‑on experience with Kafka or equivalent streaming platforms.
• Experience with Redis or other in‑memory data stores.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Familiarity with ClickHouse, Postgres, or other analytical/OLAP/OLTP databases.
• Prior experience working on internal platforms or developer‑facing tools.

Compensation

$140,000 - $160,000 a year
