Qualifications

• Strong system design and software architecture experience.
• Experience designing APIs, database schemas, and complex backend systems.
• Autonomously drive initiatives from idea through implementation.
• Strong code review, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working in Scrum/Agile environments.
• Experience with AWS and Datadog.
• AI fluency: expert in AI development tools for accelerated software creation.
• AI leadership: mentor engineers in AI-driven development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend solutions using Ruby on Rails.
• Own technical architecture, API design, data models, and legacy modernization initiatives.
• Lead technical design discussions and document solutions for complex engineering challenges.
• Review code, mentor engineers, and raise the bar for engineering quality.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Diagnose production issues using AWS and Datadog.
• Drive technical improvements beyond assigned work and identify opportunities to enhance the platform.
