Job summary

MaintainX, a leading mobile-first work execution platform now part of Autodesk Operations Solutions, is seeking a backend software engineer to design, build, and operate public-facing REST APIs and platform services.

You will own reliability, CI/CD, testing, and developer experience, collaborating with product, design, and customers to deliver scalable integrations across ERP systems and enterprise ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building backend systems, APIs, or platform products.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate MaintainX's public-facing REST APIs with a focus on consistency, scalability, and developer experience.
• Implement platform standards: authentication, rate limiting, versioning, filtering, pagination, idempotency, error semantics, and backwards compatibility.
• Design and implement robust batch and bulk API operations for high-volume data synchronization and enterprise migrations.
• Decouple REST from monolithic dependencies and ensure contract testing to protect REST API stability.
• Build scaffolding, templates, and shared libraries to speed connectors/integration development.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and quality gates for integrations.
• Produce strong developer documentation and reference implementations (SDKs).
• Contribute to infrastructure/workflows for publish/versioned integrations marketplace (e.g., Workato, Tray).
• Enable automation-driven onboarding flows (connection creation, credentials, environment configuration).
• Build reusable integrations blocks for ERP systems (SAP, Oracle EBS/NetSuite, Microsoft D365).
• Ensure integrations meet security, auditability, performance, and operability.
