Job summary

OMERS Ventures in Toronto is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support mission-critical investment platforms within Capital Markets. You will guide Agile and Waterfall projects, manage the backlog with stakeholders, and deliver high-value requirements from discovery through implementation.

You will analyze data, craft reports and dashboards using SQL, Power BI, and related tools, collaborate across teams, and drive change management with clear communications and training support.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of business analysis experience supporting investment applications.
• Experience with requirements elicitation, process modeling, user stories and mapping.
• Certifications in BA, Change Management, Process Improvement, QA, or Project Management are assets.
• Strong attention to detail with end-to-end process understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in Agile and Waterfall projects for Portfolio Servicing Platform upgrades.
• Assist Platform Owner with backlog, roadmap, prioritization, and resource allocation.
• Lead BA activities across all phases of the project life cycle: elicitation, analysis, testing, training, rollout.
• Ensure scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines are documented and communicated.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and create user stories and BRDs.
• Design and develop complex reporting and dashboards (SQL, SSRS, Power BI) delivering insights to investment professionals.
• Define and execute test plans including performance and integration tests.
• Support change management: stakeholder impact, training, communications.
