Job summary

S I Systems is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Solution Architect to oversee solution architecture for a new back-office system under a two-year contract in Canada. The role supports Ottawa-based on-site work 12 days per month with 100% remote options possible, and a 7.5-hour workday.

You will coordinate across cloud, container, database, integration, security, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions and maintain SAD/ADR governance. A strong FinOps mindset is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience with at least 5 years in Solution Architecture.
• Experience delivering cloud-native and container-based solutions using Azure, OpenShift, AKS.
• Experience with Azure IaaS, networking, security, data protection, and workload portability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee core technology services solution architecture activities for a new back-office system program ensuring effective coordination across cloud, container, database, integration, security, and operations teams
• Develop, maintain, and govern the end-to-end Solution Architecture Document (SAD) and architecture decision records ensuring architecture deliverables remain current, complete, and aligned with program objectives
