Job summary

Saputo Dairy Products Canada seeks a Senior Engineer, Automation and Control to lead automation projects across its Canadian facilities. You will define standards, support the OT tech stack, and drive capital projects with strong leadership and autonomy.

Travel across Canada (about 50%) is required as projects span multiple plants. You will collaborate with IT/OT teams and ensure robust electrical, control, and instrumentation design aligned with Saputo’s goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• OIQ membership in good standing is required.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience in automation and control.
• Strong PLC and HMI programming knowledge and languages.
• Familiarity with industrial networks, Windows, and virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and support Capex automation projects across Canadian plants.
• Design electrical power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Develop system designs and operator interfaces (HMI).
• Collaborate to define technical specs, review bids, and optimize purchases.
• Prepare budget estimates with operations and maintenance teams.
• Produce electrical layouts, diagrams, and control logic documentation.
• Coordinate with OT and IT teams as engineering representative.
