Job summary

Saputo Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer, Automation and Control to lead automation initiatives across Canadian manufacturing facilities. You will define standards, support the OT team, and manage Capex projects focused on automation.

The role requires strong leadership, autonomy, and collaboration, with travel across Canada up to 50%. A bilingual EN/FR capability is essential for cross‑functional work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• OIQ license in good standing is required.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience.
• Strong PLC and HMI programming skills (Allen-Bradley, Ignition, Schneider, Wonderware).
• Solid knowledge of industrial networks and Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and support Canadian plants in Capex automation projects.
• Engineer and design power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, and automation.
• Develop system designs, control logic, and operator interfaces (HMI).
• Coordinate with buyers to define specs, review bids, and optimize purchases.
• Prepare budgets with operations and maintenance teams; document electrical layouts.
