Job summary

MUFG Investor Services seeks a Portfolio Operations Senior Associate to oversee reconciliation and NAV review technology, delivering a full reconciled Gross Asset Valuation (GAV) to client operations teams. You will lead day-to-day client relationships, ensuring accurate pricing and timely issue resolution.

The role requires a university degree and 2+ years in investor services or asset management, with strong Excel, VBA/SQL basics, and familiarity with reconciliation tools.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Math, Finance, Accounting.
• At least 2 years' experience in investor services or asset management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of securities such as equities, bonds, forwards, futures, options & OTC derivatives.
• Experience with reconciliation technology or a portfolio management system is a plus.
• Advanced Excel with pivot tables and functions.
• Basic VBA/SQL or programming knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client transaction processing is complete, corporate actions booked, and pricing is accurate.
• Review pricing of portfolios including equities, options, futures, bonds and OTC derivatives.
• Gather security prices from vendors such as Bloomberg & ICE when necessary.
• Operate and oversee reconciliation technology to deliver positions and P&L reconciliations.
• Perform Gross Asset Valuation (GAV) reviews.
• Liaise with custodians, brokers and counterparties for break resolutions and process improvements.
• Provide excellent client service and respond to queries promptly.
• Review the work of an Associate and lead for at least one client.

This is a vital role in ensuring MFS can calculate independent Net Asset Values of investment funds. A Portfolio Operations(PO) Senior Associate will operate and oversee reconciliation and NAV review technology to deliver a full reconciled Gross Asset Valuation (GAV) to client operations teams or clients, including cash, positions, dividend & interest reconciliations.

A PO Senior Associate will have a strong understanding of what drives the value of an investment fund, the types ofproducts it trades and the nature of day-to-day operations between an investment fund and its counterparties, all alongsidea keen interest in learning new technologies and skills.

A PO Senior Associate may be tasked with reviewing the work of an Associate; ensuring tasks are completed and issuesappropriately investigated. A Senior Associate will likely be the lead for at least one client, being first point of contact andowning the day-to-day relationship in PO.

• Ensure client transaction processing is complete, corporate actions have been booked correctly & security pricing isaccurate.
• Review pricing of portfolios, confirming securities such as equities, options, futures, bonds & OTC derivatives are pricedcorrectly. Gather security prices from vendors such as Bloomberg & ICE when necessary.
• Operate and oversee reconciliation technology to deliver Investment Manager positions and profit & loss reconciliations.
• Perform GAV reviews
• Liaise with custodians, brokers and other counterparties on an ongoing basis for break resolutions and processimprovements.
• Provide great client service to all our clients be they internal or external.
• Respond to queries from clients in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Math, Finance, Accounting or an equivalent combination of education.
• Candidates will require at least 2 years’ experience within the investor services or asset management industry.
• Microsoft office applications.
• Understanding of securities such as equities, bonds, forwards, futures, options & OTC derivatives.

Preferred

• Experience with a reconciliation technology, a portfolio management system or an investment accounting general ledger.
• Advanced Excel knowledge; comfortable with pivot table and functions e.g. TEXT, LOOKUP, MATH
• Intermediate knowledge of VBA, SQL or any programming knowledge would be an advantage
