Job summary

MUFG Investor Services in Toronto seeks a Senior Associate to deliver fund administration services for private market clients, focusing on real asset structures. You will maintain books, prepare financial and investor reporting, and support all accounting and operations via the Yardi platform.

The role requires coordination with clients, auditors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality service and timely deadlines. This is a backfill position and involves mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent designation preferred or in progress.
• At least 2 years' experience in fund administration or audit.
• Experience with real asset structures (Property, REIT, SPV, JV, Co-Invest).
• Experience with Yardi or other accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledgers and schedules for real asset funds using Yardi.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements per IFRS, US GAAP, ASPE.
• Process capital activity calculations and notices (capital calls, distributions).
• Perform NAV calculations and investor-level reporting; conduct carried interest computations.
• Coordinate property-level data and valuations for consolidation at fund level.
• Review bank accounts, intercompany balances, and investment transactions.
• Support annual audit and tax processes with auditors and clients.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems within Yardi and related tools.
• Mentor junior team members and review their work for accuracy.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure timely reporting.

Job Description

The Senior Associate will play a key role in the delivery of fund administration services to private market clients with a focus on real asset structures. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate books and records, preparing financial and investor reporting, and supporting all accounting and operational aspects of clients serviced through the Yardi platform. The Senior Associate will act as a key point of contact for clients, auditors, and internal teams, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to deadlines.

• Prepare and maintain general ledgers and supporting schedules for assigned real asset funds utilizing Yardi.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP, ASPE).
• Process capital activity calculations and notices, including capital calls and distributions.
• Perform NAV calculations, prepare investor-level reporting, and conduct management and carried interest computations.
• Coordinate and review property-level data, valuations, and performance metrics for consolidation at the Fund level.
• Review and reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and investment transactions.
• Support the annual audit and tax processes by liaising with auditors, tax advisors, and clients as required.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to enhancements of systems and workflows within Yardi and related tools.
• Mentor junior team members and review their work to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure timely reporting and prompt resolution of queries.

This is a backfill position.
