Job summary

MUFG Investor Services is seeking an Associate in Genesis, Client Trading Operations to support end-to-end trade workflows within a global asset servicing environment. You will prepare and validate trading documentation, compile AML/KYC packages, process custody settlements, and monitor deadlines to ensure accurate, timely execution and regulatory compliance.

A university degree in finance or accounting and 1–2 years in fund administration are required; strong Excel and SWIFT knowledge are

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in finance, accounting or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in fund administration with exposure to Client Delivery, Investor Delivery and/or AML/KYC processes.
• Understanding of fund services practices, such as fund order execution and settlements, investor accounts and AML/FATCA requirements.
• Experience in client trading is desirable.
• Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Adobe PDF; SWIFT knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and validate trading documentation for capital commitments, subscriptions, redemptions, switches, and transfer trades in line with client and fund requirements.
• Compile, examine, and review AML/KYC due-diligence packages for submission to underlying fund administrators.
• Process custody trade settlements, including initiating wire instructions and completing verification callbacks.
• Monitor and manage trading deadlines to ensure all trades are executed, confirmed, and reconciled accurately and on time.
• Maintain full ownership of the end-to-end trade workflow, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
• Apply operational controls, follow SOPs, and complete required checklists to meet internal compliance standards.
• Liaise professionally with clients, fund administrators, and internal teams to resolve trade-related queries.
• Analyze, investigate, and independently resolve discrepancies or exceptions raised by external or internal stakeholders.
• Provide timely responses to operational inquiries and maintain thorough documentation and communication records.
• Identify risks, control gaps, and efficiency opportunities to support continuous process and workflow improvement.

• 1-2 years of experience working in the fund administration industry with exposure to Client Delivery, Investor Delivery and/or AML/KYC processes
• An understanding of fund services practices, such as fund order execution and settlements, various fund structures, fund documentation, investor account opening, and AML/FATCA requirements.
• Experience in client trading is desirable.
• Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Excel and Adobe PDF.
• Working knowledge of SWIFT, including Securities and Payment Swift messages, and experience processing wires is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to discern time-sensitive issues and prioritize appropriately.
• Qualities such as attention to detail and being organized are essential.
• Ability to multitask and meet established deadlines, in a dynamic work environment
• Effective communication skills are required
