Job summary

Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan is seeking a Senior Associate, Corporate Accounting to maintain the integrity of General Ledger data, support month-end close, and assist with audits for OTPP and related entities. You will help with journal entries, reconciliations, and COA management while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a university degree and CPA designation, strong Canadian GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel/Power BI skills.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• Minimum five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of Canadian GAAP (IFRS/ASPE).
• Experience with external auditors and regulatory testing.

Responsibilities

• Execute period-end close activities, journal entries, GL interface maintenance, monthly reconciliations.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and funding for offshore administration.
• Support auditors with GL balances analysis and documentation.
• Manage GL structures including COA, cost centres and projects.
• Assist vendor setup and updates to banking details and ensure tax compliance.
• Collaborate with banking partners to resolve payment issues and improve processes.
• Lead or participate in special projects and process improvements with clear specs.
