Job Description - Senior Associate Brand Manager (2507033491W)

In this position, you will act as a business leader on a major Canadian brand to drive national business growth.

This position is based at our Markham office and will report into a Brand Team Lead or Senior Brand Leader.

What You Will Do

As a Senior Associate Brand Manager, you will act as a business leader to drive growth on your brand through strategies & executions with a truly national impact. Just like any entrepreneur or general manager, you will be responsible for the key drivers of business performance, including:

  1. Developing and implementing a multi-year strategic business plan for your brand
  2. Launching new products and building comprehensive go-to-market plans (including pricing and merchandising strategies)
  3. Crafting marketing communications (e.g., Digital, eCommerce and social content, video, print, sampling, professional, etc.), claims and impactful media connection plans with external agency partners
  4. Uncovering insights about the category, competitor & retail customers that drive business recommendations
  5. Successfully setting & ensuring delivery of monthly and annual shipment and consumption analysis
  6. Conducting consumer research to uncover insights that shape in-market activations
  7. Collaborating with internal departments including Customer Strategy, Sales, Finance, Regulatory, Legal, Global, Supply Chain and Demand Planning to coordinate team activities/projects and attain short-long term sales and profit commitments
  8. Leading your brand’s P&L & making investment recommendations to drive profitable growth

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

  1. A minimum of a university degree is required; preferably in Marketing/Business or a related field. MBA an asset.
  2. 18+ months of previous brand management or relevant marketing experience.
  3. Authorized to work in Canada without the need of sponsorship now or in the future.
  4. Strategy and data are the core of everything we do, so strong critical thinking and analytical skills are required.

Desired Qualifications

  1. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to bring out the best in others.
  2. Digital marketing experience is an asset, as are budget management and forecasting skills.
  3. Leads multiple projects and tasks at a time with a focus on prioritization and quality.
  4. Self-motivated, results oriented, creative problem solver, with the ability to lead through ambiguity.
  5. Shows curiosity to grow and develop. Derives creative solutions to generate business value.
  6. Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills.
  7. Analytical in approach to finding opportunities, strong problem-solving skills.
  8. Aptitude in eCommerce or digital marketing.
