Job summary

Spencer Gifts – Spirit Halloween is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Brandon, Canada. The role supports the Store Manager to maintain Guest Services and drive store profitability through staff development, inventory control and merchandising excellence.

The position requires prior retail or management experience, a minimum age of 18, and can involve standing for long periods with lifting up to 50 pounds. Up to 38 hours per week.

• The minimum age requirement is 18.
• Ability to maintain Guest Services and drive store profitability.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain Guest Services and assist the Store Manager in running the store to maximize sales and profitability.
• Develop staff, control expenses and shrinkage, and oversee merchandising and inventory control in line with company policies.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining Guest Services. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the various tasks involved in the overall operation of a store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability by developing staff, controlling expenses and shrinkage as well as all aspects of merchandising and inventory control in adherence with all Company policies and procedures.

Requirements

This position will work up to 38 hours per week. The minimum age requirement for an Assistant Store Manager is 18. The physical demands of the job require in excess of 8 hours of standing, walking, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds. Prior retail and or management experience is required.
