Job summary

Volts Energies in Laval, Quebec is seeking an Assembly Technician to build our Li-Cube units—integrating solar panels, batteries, inverters, and control systems. You will read plans, assemble mechanical and electrical components, and work on electrical panels on the floor.

We offer a permanent full-time role with a daytime schedule and tools provided; semi-retired candidates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, manufacturing, installation, or a similar field.
• Resourceful and autonomous, with the ability to find solutions.
• Strong manual skills.
• Ability to read and understand assembly plans.
• Good mechanical logic and practical sense.
• Attention to detail and pride in a job well done.
• Experience with electrical panels, industrial equipment, solar, batteries, or generators is a strong asset.
• Positive attitude, punctuality, and team spirit.
• Semi-retired candidates with technical experience are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly of Li-Cube units.
• Assemble and install mechanical, electrical, and solar components.
• Participate in the assembly of electrical panels according to provided plans.
• Install supports, rails, structures, solar panels, batteries, inverters, and accessories.
• Read and interpret plans, technical drawings, and assembly diagrams.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Perform basic quality checks to ensure clean, solid, and compliant assembly.
• Work with the technical team to solve issues encountered during assembly.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.

Volts Energies is looking for a resourceful, experienced, and hands-on Assembly Technician to help build our Li-Cube units — autonomous energy solutions integrating solar panels, batteries, inverters, generators, control systems, and electrical panels.

We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, can read plans, understand assemblies, and find practical solutions on the floor. This position can also be a great fit for a semi-retired person who wants to stay active in a stimulating technical environment.
