Job description

We’re looking for an experienced and energetic Sr. Art Director to join our creative team. The right candidate has a background in concepting big ideas with other creatives, knows how to design for both digital and print, has experience presenting work to clients, has acute attention to detail, and is passionate about innovative design.

The ideal candidate is a go-getter who jumps on new opportunities, designs with pixel-perfect precision, and is a team player. This is a fast-paced work environment, so attentiveness and the ability to handle multiple projects with ease are a must.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality visual designs for : digital campaigns, microsites, landing pages, large scale websites, social media, print campaigns, presentations, video, animation, and more
  • Communicate ideas and designs to senior members of the creative team
  • Partner with copywriters
  • Wow clients with presentation skills
  • Provide oversight and design direction to production designers
  • Collaborate with and provide direction to illustrators, animators, and video production teams
  • Maintain consistent creative quality and become a brand expert

Requirements

  • A beautiful online portfolio of digital work—print work is a plus
  • 5-7 years experience working at an agency or in-house creative services team
  • Expert competency with Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of After Effects is a plus.
  • Basic proficiency with Figma is required — Figma being the primary design tool of choice for

this account. Candidate will be required to improve proficiency first few months on the job.

  • Experience with both B2B and B2C marketing is a plus
  • Experience art directing and storyboarding for video and / or animation projects is required.
  • Illustrations skills are helpful
  • Solid understanding of typography and layout
  • Solid comprehension of UX / UI principles and their applications across the web, apps, email, and beyond
  • Rigorous attention to detail
  • Ability to work through multiple iterations and to work quickly
  • Ability to accept and receive constructive design feedback from seniors members of the creative team.
  • Is an excellent collaborator with the team
  • Ability to work within brand style guides to produce work that is both original and on-brand
  • Demonstrating good communication skills, both verbal and listening abilities.
  • Fluent in English—advanced level.

What We Offer

Media.Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Media.Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Media.Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Salary Range$87,000—$93,000 CAD
