You will lead design development through construction administration, mentor staff, and shape the firm’s direction across education, healthcare, and commercial projects.

Qualifications

  • Registered Architect (OAA) or eligible for registration in Ontario.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in architecture.
  • Experience delivering education, healthcare, institutional, or commercial projects.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination.
  • Ontario building codes knowledge.

Responsibilities

Senior Architect
Toronto, ON (East End)

A Toronto-based architecture firm in the citys east end is seeking a Senior Architect to join their leadership team and contribute to the long-term growth and direction of the practice. The firm specializes in education, healthcare, and commercial projects, delivering thoughtful and technically strong work that supports communities across Ontario.

This role is ideal for a senior-level architect who sees the big picture—someone who is not only focused on project delivery but also interested in helping shape the future of the firm. The successful candidate will bring strong design and technical leadership, mentorship capability, and an entrepreneurial mindset aligned with the firms long-term vision.

The firm is looking for someone who wants to grow with the practice, with the potential to move toward an Associate or future partnership track.

Key Responsibilities

Lead projects from design development through construction administration

Provide design and technical leadership across education, healthcare, and commercial projects

Guide and mentor intermediate and junior team members

Oversee project coordination with consultants and stakeholders

Contribute to strategic thinking around project opportunities and firm growth

Support business development, client relationships, and proposal preparation

Help maintain strong design quality and technical execution across the studio

Work closely with firm leadership on the long-term direction and success of the practice

Qualifications

Registered Architect (OAA) or eligible for registration in Ontario

10+ years of professional experience within architecture

Strong experience delivering education, healthcare, institutional, or commercial projects

Demonstrated leadership in project delivery and team coordination

Strong understanding of Ontario building codes, construction documentation, and project management

Excellent communication and client-facing skills

Interest in long-term leadership and growth within a firm
