Job summary

Architecture 49 in Thunder Bay, Ontario, is seeking a Senior Architect to lead the design teams and oversee construction drawings for multi-disciplinary projects in Northern Ontario.

You will manage staff, coordinate meetings, ensure codes and standards, and act as a senior client advisor. The role includes budget/Schedule oversight and local travel to project sites. A relocation or local residency in Thunder Bay is expected.

Qualifications

• Registered architect in Ontario with professional standing.
• Proven leadership and project management experience on complex projects.
• Familiar with BIM workflows and industry-standard software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams in producing architectural design solutions and construction drawings.
• Coordinate project meetings and supervise staff across multiple disciplines.
• Perform internal reviews to ensure codes and quality standards are met.
• Serve as a senior client advisor throughout project delivery.
• Oversee budget, scheduling and staffing, and collaborate with accounting to meet targets.
• Travel locally around Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario to sites.
