What You’ll Do:
- Lead field programs and manage archaeological assessments under the Heritage Conservation Act
- Mentor junior and intermediate staff, shaping the next generation of consulting archaeologists
- Engage in Indigenous consultation and relationship-building with First Nations throughout BC
- Prepare, review, and oversee technical reports, mitigation strategies, and proposals
- Liaise with the BC Archaeology Branch and other regulatory agencies
- Participate in business development, client engagement, and project management
- Contribute to strategic planning as we expand our archaeology division across Canada
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Archaeology or Anthropology
- 5+ years of consulting experience in BC, with proven leadership in field projects
- Permit-holding status or eligibility in the Coast or Interior Culture Area(s)
- Experience as a Field Director in one or more BC culture areas
- Strong interpersonal, writing, and mentorship skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report writing software
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations as needed
- Canadian citizenship or permanent residency
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams independently and manage multidisciplinary coordination
- Familiarity with GPS/GIS, mapping, artifact classification (especially lithics), and CMT recording
- Experience working directly with Indigenous communities in BC
- Valid safety tickets (e.g., First Aid, H2S) and Class 5 Driver’s License
