This role can be based out of one of our main offices including: Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON; Calgary, AB.

Here’s Where You’ll Be Focusing

As a Senior Application System Analyst with Sobeys, you will:

• Provide remote support for all IT Incidents, Requests and Changes for the Retail environment including implementation, configuration, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, and usage monitoring, including after-hours support.
• Resolve incidents and fulfill requests within defined SLA.
• Manage Retail Hardware Lifecycle (e.g., Servers, RF Guns), Operating Systems, Deployment Technology, IT Security; plan, test, pilot, and deploy new technology to Stores.
• Develop support and troubleshooting guides for new technology deployments.
• Maintain Support Definition Documents.
• Follow Release Management Processes and develop Release artifacts.
• Develop deployment plans and coordinate execution of deployment activities for Hardware and Software.
• Communicate with customers about project/deployment status.
• Build, coordinate, and conduct training on hardware and software applications.
• Evaluate current processes and implement improvements.
• Generate reports, analyze trends, and monitor metrics for department dashboards.
• Maintain knowledge base accuracy.
• Adhere to IT policies, procedures, and security requirements.
• Mentor team members and act as a technical expert.
• Participate in IT projects.

What You Have To Offer

Your experience and resume will show us:

• College diploma or university degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in technical support in retail.
• Troubleshooting skills and methodologies.
• Project Management experience (a plus).
• Experience coaching and mentoring staff.

Our hybrid work model requires presence at one of our offices at least three days per week to foster collaboration and team culture.
