Sobeys offers exciting opportunities and is looking for bright talent! We have a full-time role for a Senior Application Developer, based in Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON; or Calgary, AB.

Role Focus:

As a Senior Application Developer, you will:

• Identify functional and technical solutions to meet requirements.
• Develop detailed functional, technical, and operational specifications.
• Translate user requirements into solution designs.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Provide accurate estimates for tasks.
• Capture and define technical and operational requirements.
• Ensure documentation is current and correct.
• Communicate progress and issues to management.
• Code, test, and analyze software programs and applications.
• Amend software to correct errors and provide status reports.
• Determine effective program/configuration solutions.
• Provide estimates and work to deadlines.
• Create unit test plans and detailed test cases.
• Write and test solutions diligently.
• Assist in documentation and problem resolution.
• Develop or support software solutions in a team environment.
• Provide Tier 2 or Tier 3 support for cloud applications.
• Document user, operational, and system details.
• Assist senior developers and analysts in software development.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate Degree with 5+ years relevant experience or DEC with 7+ years.
• Experience with Azure applications, Azure DevOps, C# programming, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring tools.
• Strong software engineering, solution delivery, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, research, teamwork, and adaptability skills.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Additional assets: ABAP in SAP Retail, SAP HANA migration experience.
